Popcorn Club 是一个面向成年人的英语社交俱乐部。我们相信，英语是一种用来讨论、建立联系、表达同意与不同意见、分享想法、尝试新事物、结识朋友的语言，而不是用来应付考试的工具。因此，在这里，我们用英语做所有这些事情——在每次不超过十人的小型活动中，由来自世界各地、充满热情和知识的主持人带领。
Popcorn Club is the English social club for adults. We believe that the English language is for discussion, connection, agreeing and disagreeing, sharing, trying new things and meeting people. It is not for passing exams. So we use it to do all of that, in intimate groups of ten people or less, led by passionate and knowledgeable hosts from all over the world, in English.

When you come here, you will improve your English in a fun way, not in a traditional, classroom way. You’ll participate in deep discussions and meaningful workshops guided by patient and welcoming hosts. You’ll have fun and meet like-minded people. When the human brain doesn’t realise it’s learning, it learns faster. That’s the point.

When you come here, you’ll make real friends and real connections, but not in a manufactured, made-for-networking event kind of way. When you come here, your confidence will soar! After a few months with Popcorn Club, you’ll have had so many discussions about business, politics, tech, movies, music, self-improvement, psychology and more. You’ll have tried new skills and have been guided by professionals in their field. You’ll know more people. You’ll still be you, but a version of you with more experiences, more culture, more English conversations under your belt, and more friends. You’ll have tried things and talked about things you may never have imagined before you came here. You’ll realise that with confidence and a network of like-minded people comes opportunity, and the world will open up for you!

So, how do we do it? Two main types of events:
What are Regular Clubs
Regular Clubs是我们最主要的活动形式。我们每周举办 25 到 35 场线下Regular Clubs，及2-3场线上Regular Clubs。每场活动持续两小时（当然我们也常常会聊超时），每场限 10 人以内，由 40 多位 Popcorn Club 主持人中的一位主持。
主题丰富多样，包括但不限于地缘政治、金融、商业、职业发展、心理学、哲学、音乐、电影、两性关系、自我提升、全球文化、辩论、演讲等等。
主持人会引导讨论，并在过程中提供与你感兴趣话题相关的学习内容。每个人都被鼓励开口说话、分享、提问和表达观点。这里是一个安全、不被评判的空间，讨论深入而有智慧。
Regular clubs are our main thing! We hold offline regular clubs twenty-five to thirty-five times per week, online regular clubs two to three times per week. Each one is two hours long (we often go over time), limited to ten people or fewer, topic-based, and hosted by one of the over forty Popcorn Club hosts. Regular club topics include, but aren’t limited to, geopolitics, finance, business, career, psychology, philosophy, music, movies, relationships, self-improvement, global culture, debate, public speaking etc. The host is there to guide the discussion and to give you learning points along the way related to the topic. Everybody is encouraged to talk, share, ask questions and give opinions. The space is safe and judgment-free. The conversations are deep and intelligent.
What are Specialty Clubs
Four to five times per month, we hold specialty clubs. Each one is two hours long (we often go overtime), limited to ten people or fewer and hosted by a professional in their field. In these clubs, you will learn about and try a new skill! You might learn to cook or bake with a professional chef, make cocktails with a professional bartender, dance with a professional dance teacher, fight with a martial artist, make tattoos, fence, paint, screen print etc. You won’t become a professional in two hours or so, but you will try it, get your hands dirty, be guided by a professional, and maybe you’ll find a passion or a talent inside you that you didn’t know was there!
每月举办四到五次特色俱乐部活动，每场两小时（通常会超时），同样限制为 10 人以内，由各自领域的专业人士主持。
在这些俱乐部中，你将学习并尝试一项全新技能！你可能会和专业厨师一起学做菜或烘焙、和调酒师一起调鸡尾酒、跟舞蹈老师跳舞、跟武术家学习格斗、尝试纹身、击剑、绘画、丝网印刷等等。
虽然两小时内你不可能变成专业人士，但你会亲自动手实践，在专业人士的指导下尝试，也许你会发现自己隐藏的热情或天赋！
