All around the world, people are complaining that the education system is failing our students. This isn't a new problem and it isn't specific to any one country. But, it is now, seemingly worse than it's ever been. Why? What do schools consistently get wrong about learning? Where did we blur the line so much between actual learning and regurgitation? When did it get so bad that students come out of school with no marketable skills? What do we know from science about how we learn as humans and how are schools getting it wrong? How can neuroscience help us to understand not only where schools are going wrong but also where we can go right?_x000D_

In this club, we'll take a deep look at what actually constitutes learning at how our brains learn. We'll better understand what types of situations and surroundings are ideal or not ideal for true learning. We'll look at neuroscience and sociology to see the links between all this and what is currently happening in schools. We'll share our own experiences and opinions and we'll have an intelligent and enlightening discussion!_x000D_
