On the last Sunday of every month, Nico hosts his famous Bake & Talk club. Each month, you'll make a different dish, talk about food and food culture, and, of course, eat like the kings and queens that you are!

This month: Apple Compote with different flavours and paired with butter cookies.

In this Bake & Talk, Nico—our resident foodie and French baker—will guide you step by step as you make apple compote from scratch, experimenting with different flavors and combinations along the way. No fancy tools, no oven, no experience needed—just curiosity and a willingness to try.

As the compote slowly comes together, we’ll talk food: where it comes from, why compote has been a staple in French cuisine for generations, and how simple recipes often carry the richest stories. You’ll enjoy your creation with buttery cookies, learn something you can easily recreate at home, and share a relaxed, delicious experience with others.
