Do they come from anywhere else? Are they helping us? Hurting us? Limiting us? Well, one thing we know, is that they are among the most common shortcuts to critical thinking. They serve as judgments that replace rational thought. How do they differ amongst cultures, generations, and socio-economic groups? How can we identify them when they happen? How can we see when others are using them? And, how can we stop them from being an obstacle in our quest to live the lives we actually want to live?_x000D_ _x000D_ Let's look at it all from a psychological and sociological point of view.
