The animal cruelty debate is one that's constantly in and out of the news, and it's nothing new. There are viral videos of dogs and cats being mistreated, yet at the same time, testing on animals has allowed humans to achieve great improvements in medicine. But what about if we test on animals for non-life-saving cosmetic products like makeup and shampoo? Should there be harsher punishments for animal cruelty? Is eating animal meat or wearing animal skin unethical? Should animals have the same rights as humans?
Should there be different rules for animals we consider pets and the ones we consider food? How about the using of dogs for food? Is this just part of the culture in some places or is it something that needs to be stopped?
Did you know that China gets a pretty bad rap in the West when it comes to the treatment of animals? Is this a fair asessment or just another example of the West making judgements based on limited information?
Let's debate!

As we talk, we we'll analyze some of the best (and worst!) ways to discuss and debate in English or any other language.
