Poetry is one of the most travelled mediums of all time. Coming from all over the world and translated in multiple languages, it touches us all. But what makes poetry good? That answer is totally subjective and we'll definitelty talk about it. What are the differences and similarities between eastern and western poetry? How do the greats of China, like Qu Yuan's Heavenly Question, compare to the sonnets of Shakespeare? What are the differences in style? Format? Theme? How much is lost in the translation?_x000D_ _x000D_ Damon is a true lover of poetry and culture and, in this club, we'll talk about both from different world perspectives and with an open mind. We'll look at different works and talk about them deeply and, if we have time, we might even practice reciting a few (spoiler alert: Damon's in-depth poetry recitation workshop will be happening in the near future)._x000D_ _x000D_ Whether you have any or no knowledge of poetry, you're welcome in this club.
