Tonight's club will be a discussion about the power of artistic habits, and a preview of Inktober, which we welcome you to join us in! Every year in October, Popcorn has a group led by Nico, tonight's host, a brilliant artist and super nice guy, that participates in the Inktober worldwide challenge. It's super simple, every year has a different theme, and we're given daily prompts to inspire us to draw something. Every day for a month, everybody makes a simple drawing based on the prompt. We share them in the group chat, and there's no judgment, only support. You'd be amazed at what this habit can do to improve your brain by the 31st! What happens when you create something every single day, even if it’s just a doodle? How does a daily artistic habit affect your brain, your focus, and even your mood? And what if artistic “talent” isn’t really the point at all? In this discussion, we’ll explore how simple, consistent creative practices, like Inktober, can sharpen our minds, free up self-expression, and improve our lives in ways far beyond the page. Hosted by Nico, Popcorn Club’s resident artist, this session will be a fun and inspiring lead-up to this year’s Inktober challenge. We’ll look back at past Inktobers, share insights about how daily art builds discipline and joy, and even do some doodling activities together to loosen up and play. Everyone is welcome to join the challenge, where we’ll each draw something every day, share it in the group chat, and support each other in a judgment-free zone.
