Nowadays, new buildings are going up all over the world with a new type of style that doesn't belong to anyone place. What is this new international style? Can it rival the great buildings of old China or old Europe? Is there a sense of identity being lost in the name of fashion or is this just how the cycle goes?_x000D_

In this club, with the above questions in mind, we'll look at and discuss architecture here in China and around the world from different angles. Let's look at Chinese architecture, let's discuss Guochao 国朝, new Chinese style, and examples of local renovation and preservation. Let's travel virtually together and see similar things in Western countries. Can the old be made new again without caricaturing the local identity? Should new be new and old be old or are they forever intertwined? Are we in an in-between stage of architecture, or on the verge of a major shift, or just copying our old ideas with less flavour?_x000D_
