El, from China, has a Master's of Social Work from the University of Michigan with specialisations in performance studies and positive organizational studies and has spent the last 13 years travelling and exploring aliveness around the world. She has a fellowship from the Institute of International Education, curated art exhibitions in the US, directed theatre productions in London, worked with prisons and refugee organizations, lectured in universities, made an EP, got a plaque at a whiskey bar...and now her adventures continue to unfold in Shanghai. She can’t wait to share her humbly brilliant and unashamedly goofy self and the art of aliveness with you!
What comes to mind when art and prison show up ...

And how does any of this apply to you? If creativity can bring light into the life of a person with a guilty conscience who's had their freedom taken away from them, what could it do for you? And how would that even work?_x000D_
