El, from China, has a Master's of Social Work from the University of Michigan with specialisations in performance studies and positive organizational studies and has spent the last 13 years travelling and exploring aliveness around the world. She has a fellowship from the Institute of International Education, curated art exhibitions in the US, directed theatre productions in London, worked with prisons and refugee organizations, lectured in universities, made an EP, got a plaque at a whiskey bar...and now her adventures continue to unfold in Shanghai.
