How good you communicate the heartbreak? The anger? The transition from love to hatred? The horrible and beautiful pain? The power that you lose and eventually take back?_x000D_ _x000D_ What's a chorus? What's a hook? How can you write lyrics that capture other dumpers, dumpees, and even the poor souls who have yet to feel love and heartbreak? What does it take to write a good breakup song? Is there some kind of basic formula? How do you come up with ideas? Words (lyrics)? And melodies?
