Hosted by James, owner of Lark Liquid Lab, fermentation expert, mixologist, and one of Shanghai's kombucha pioneers, this hands-on workshop combines learning, tasting, and creation. You'll make your own batch of kombucha from scratch while learning about the fermentation process, flavour variations, brewing techniques, and the surprisingly rich culture surrounding this all-natural drink. Between each stage, you'll take part in guided tastings of different kombuchas, exploring the subtle, and sometimes dramatic, differences that emerge through ingredients, fermentation times, and brewing styles. At the end of the workshop, you'll leave your creation behind in Lark's dedicated kombucha laboratory, where it will continue fermenting under expert care. Over the following ten days, you'll receive updates through a group chat with James and fellow participants, sharing photos, progress, questions, and discoveries before returning to collect your finished brew.
