How much of who you are was inherited? How much did you choose? And how much exists only in the way other people see you? In this new hands-on workshop hosted by Ben, you’ll turn something as abstract as identity into something you can actually see. Using mixed media, guided prompts and collage-making, you’ll explore the different layers that make up your cultural and personal identity, the parts given to you by family and society, the parts you’ve deliberately built, and perhaps some contradictions you’ve never really noticed before. You’ll then take part in a gallery walk, seeing how differently everyone interprets the same questions and exploring how our identities shape the way we communicate, connect and understand one another.

But Ben won’t let you stay in the present. Using ideas from speculative design, you’ll jump ten years into the future and imagine a version of yourself shaped by changes in culture, technology, relationships, work and your own choices. What will remain? What might disappear? And which parts of your future identity are you already constructing today without realizing it? You’ll storyboard that future self, share narratives and experiment with the idea that identity may be far less fixed than we imagine. As always with Ben’s workshops, expect something smart, playful and slightly brain-bending: a chance to create with your hands, think in an unfamiliar way, learn from the people around you and walk away seeing both your present and future self from a different angle.

但Ben不会让你只停留在当下。借助“推测性设计”的理念，你会穿越到十年后，想象一个被文化、科技、关系、工作和你自己的选择所塑造的未来版本的你。什么会留下来？什么可能会消失？你的未来身份中哪些部分，其实你现在就已经在不自觉地搭建了？你会为那个未来的自己做故事板、分享叙事，并尝试一个观念：身份或许远没有我们想象的那么固定。Ben的工坊一如既往——聪明、好玩，还有点烧脑：一次用手去创造、用不同方式去思考、从身边的人身上学习，以及带着对现在和未来的自己不一样的视角离开的机会。
