What makes someone sound like they belong at the front of the room? It’s not just confidence or the words they choose; it’s how they use their voice. Let's join Noah, a theatre actor and director who has studied, practised and taught vocal technique for years, for a hands-on public speaking workshop exploring three essential skills: projection, enunciation and vocal command. You’ll learn how to make yourself heard without simply shouting, speak clearly without sounding unnatural, and use pace, volume, emphasis and tone to make people instinctively pay attention when you have something to say.
Most importantly, this will be a workshop for doing, not just listening. Through theatre techniques, vocal exercises and speaking challenges, you’ll experiment with your voice, hear how small changes affect the way others perceive you, and practise sounding clearer, stronger and more authoritative while still sounding like yourself. And these skills go far beyond speeches: they matter when presenting at work, contributing to a meeting, telling a story, interviewing, teaching, disagreeing or simply trying to hold people’s attention in a noisy room. No acting or public speaking experience is necessary, just come ready to make some noise, experiment and discover how much more your voice can do.
