People have fought, killed, died and become successful in the name of revenge. Some of the best plot lines for books and films are all about revenge. So what makes a good revenge song? What's a chorus? What's a hook? How can you write lyrics that capture your desire for revenge, your ability to follow through, and strike fear in the hearts of anybody who wrongs you? And all while portraying you as the likeable and relatable, yet flawed human that you are? What does it take to write a hard-hitting revenge song? Is there some kind of basic formula?
