In this club, we'll talk about food, make food, and eat food!
What can food tell us about a culture? Quite a lot, it turns out. From the mountains of the Andes to the beaches of Brazil, South America is home to some of the world's most fascinating food traditions, shaped by indigenous cultures, migration, geography, and centuries of history. Hosted by Zuhe, an adventurous traveller from Venezuela, who is also a proud foodie, this guided discussion will take you on a journey through the flavours, customs, and stories that make South American food culture so rich and distinctive.
But this won't just be a conversation. Together, we'll also prepare a simple, easy-to-make South American dish and enjoy it as a group. Along the way, we'll discuss what people eat across different countries, how meals bring communities together, and what food reveals about identity, history, and everyday life. It's part discussion, part cultural experience, and part dinner party, a chance to travel thousands of kilometres without ever leaving the room.
