描述
▼What happens to the way we speak when a convers...
What happens to the way we speak when a conversation turns into a conflict? Why do some words immediately make people defensive, while others can completely change the direction of an argument? In this interactive workshop, we’ll explore the language of conflict: the words, phrases and communication patterns people use when they disagree, feel attacked, need to defend themselves or want to challenge someone without making the situation worse. We’ll look at how to disagree firmly without becoming aggressive, respond when someone crosses a line, de-escalate tense situations, and recognise the subtle language that can turn a small disagreement into a much bigger fight.
The workshop will be hosted by Andreas, a TEDx public speaking coach and award-winning speaker and trainer, and it won’t just be about learning useful phrases. Through examples, exercises and real-time practice, you’ll explore the psychology underneath difficult conversations and learn how tone, framing and word choice can completely change how a message is received. How do you stand your ground without losing control? How can you call someone out without immediately creating an enemy? And when is being diplomatic actually the wrong approach? Expect a practical, energetic and highly interactive session that will give you a smarter toolkit for handling conflict at work, in relationships and in everyday life.
