What do you really know about Mexico beyond tacos, tequila, sombreros and extremely spicy food? Join Mexican-American IELTS and communication coach Chris, whose clubs are always packed with laughter, stories and interaction, for a journey through the country where he grew up. We'll travel through Mexican history and culture, explore how people eat, celebrate, socialise and behave, and uncover some of the customs and wonderfully weird habits that make Mexico Mexico. We'll even venture into dating and romance: How do Mexicans flirt? What are relationships like? And how important is family when choosing a partner?

Along the way, we'll put some famous Mexican stereotypes on trial: Which contain a surprising amount of truth, which are wildly exaggerated, and which are simply wrong? And we'll compare Mexico with China, two cultures that may seem worlds apart but can feel strangely familiar when it comes to family, hospitality, social expectations and a shared determination to see just how much chilli the human stomach can survive. Expect stories, cultural surprises, plenty of discussion and a chance to understand Mexico from someone who actually grew up inside the culture, not just the version you've seen in movies.
