Karli, from New Zealand, is the Director of Mental Health at Inward Counselling. She studied Psychology and Law before moving to China 24 years ago.She holds an MSc in Mental Health Psychology from the University of Liverpool and a postgraduate degree in Education from the University of Nottingham. The former Director of Counselling at Community Centre Shanghai, she's worked in mental health counselling, higher education, and corporate training. Her integrative clinical style blends EFT, IFS, CBT, ACT, DBT, and psychodynamic approaches to meet each client’s bio-psycho-social needs.
She served as Operations Director and Training Manager at Lifeline China, designing programs on suicide prevention, trauma, and crisis support. She delivered trainings for Control Risk, British Council, Know Yourself, and more, and is the lead Shanghai trainer for the Australian R U OK? program. Karli also has extensive experience in curriculum design for master level education. She's passionate about reducing stigma and raising global awareness around mental health.
