If you've never read a book, read often, or something in between, you're welcome in this club. If you have a book that touches on the concept of love you want to share, please do! If you don't, come anyway!
This will be our second time running the What Are You Reading series. Ben will be your guide as we share parts of different books with a common theme and discuss how we feel about them. Tonight's theme is love. This isn't school, it's not about finding the deeper meaning that the author is trying to give you, because beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and we are the beholders!
Ben will be prepared with a book to share, in this case, it will be Electric City, a dystopian sci-fi masterpiece of a graphic novel written by a historian that depicts a world where corporations run everything, technology runs wild, and there's a battle between private enterprise and public good.
As we go, we'll learn new words, express ourselves, listen to each other actively, and share in the beauty that is reading. Let's have a lovely evening together!
