▼What makes you leave a first date thinking, “I’...
What makes you leave a first date thinking, “I’d like to see you again”? Is it chemistry, easy conversation, feeling understood? Or simply wanting to know more? Join Chris, an IELTS instructor and communication coach whose clubs are always filled with laughter and interaction, for a lively discussion about what earns someone a second date. We’ll explore what we hope to discover on a first date, how we judge whether it went well, and why one person’s promising beginning might be another person’s “never again”. What makes you curious enough to continue? And what makes you start looking for the exit?
Together, we’ll discuss awkward silences, mixed signals, unexpected connections and whether a date that’s slowly dying can be brought back to life. How do you change the mood without forcing it? What’s an understandable nervous moment, and what’s a reason to run? Whether you have plenty of dating stories, have never been on a date, or are simply curious about how people connect, there’s a place for you here. Share your experiences, offer a hypothetical answer, or just enjoy listening. There’ll be plenty to talk about and plenty of laugh-out-loud moments, with Chris bringing out the surprisingly useful communication lessons along the way.
