描述
▼Why do some people command attention while othe...
Why do some people command attention while others struggle to be taken seriously—even when they’re saying something valuable? What makes the difference: our words, our voice, our body language or the expectations people already have of us? Join Chris, an IELTS instructor and communication coach whose clubs are always full of laughter and interaction, for a practical exploration of how we come across. We’ll discuss the psychology of human interaction and how the way we speak and present ourselves can strengthen, or unintentionally undermine, our message.
Through sharing, interactive exercises and plenty of experimentation, we’ll practise different ways to communicate confidence, make a point carry more weight and respond when we feel dismissed. We’ll also explore the opposite skill: knowing how to lighten the mood, sound more playful and help people relax when being serious isn’t what the moment needs. No communication training or particular level of confidence is necessary... Chris will guide everyone in trying small changes and noticing their effects. Expect laughter, useful discoveries and practical techniques for having more choice over how people hear you, at work and in everyday life.
