DESCRIPTION:<a href="http://popcornclubshanghai.com/event/watch-talk-cinema
-as-a-space-for-memory-45166/register">Watch & Talk: Cinema As A Space For
Memory </a>\nHow does human memory work\, and how is that directly connec
ted to films? What do films remember for us\, and what do they rewrite? Wh
y do certain scenes feel like memories\, even when we know they never happ
ened to us? In this Watch & Talk session\, Cannes-nominated director Anji
invites you to explore cinema as a space of memory\, where time bends\, fr
agments repeat\, and meaning is shaped as much by feeling as by fact. Toge
ther\, we’ll watch selected scenes and ask how film gets so close to the
way the human mind actually remembers. Through guided discussion\, we’l
l unpack how editing\, sound\, framing\, and narrative structure create bo
th false and true memories for the viewer\, and how films reconstruct the
past from pieces rather than timelines. From there\, the conversation open
s outward: how does memory really work\, how do we frame our own experienc
es\, and why does memory feel less like an archive and more like a story w
 e keep retelling? Thoughtful\, playful\, and deeply human\, this session i
s about seeing films\, and your own memories\, with fresh eyes.
Watch & Talk
