DESCRIPTION:<a href="http://popcornclubshanghai.com/event/hollywood-writing
 -workshop-create-a-character-45285/register">Hollywood Writing Workshop: C
reate A Character </a>\nWhy do some movie characters stay with us for year
s\, while others disappear the moment the credits roll? What makes a villa
in unforgettable\, a hero compelling\, or an anti-hero strangely relatable
? And if you were to invent a character today\, would they surprise you…
Or reveal something about you? In this workshop\, you’ll learn the core
Hollywood tools for building an interesting character\, not in a dry\, te
chnical way\, but in a practical\, creative\, and immediately usable way.
We’ll look at well-known film characters and unpack what makes them dyna
mic or static\, layered or flat\, driven or forgettable. Then you’ll des
ign your own character from scratch: backstory\, flaws\, fears\, quirks\,
desires\, and goals. Maybe you’ll create a villain. Maybe a hero. Maybe
something in between. And maybe\, as often happens in the creative process
\, your character will change as you write them. This isn’t just for asp
iring screenwriters. It’s for anyone who wants to think more sharply abo
 ut motivation\, personality\, psychology\, and storytelling\, and unlock b
oth the creative and logical parts of the mind at the same time.
