DESCRIPTION:<a href="http://popcornclubshanghai.com/event/your-inner-editor
 -how-thinking-becomes-cinema-45961/register">Your Inner Editor: How Thinki
ng Becomes Cinema</a>\nWhat if your mind works a little like a film editor
 ? Every day\, we take memories\, emotions\, fears\, desires and seemingly
random moments and cut them together into a story that feels like reality.
But change what you focus on\, where you begin and end a memory\, or the
angle from which you see an experience\, and suddenly the story can look v
 ery different. Join Anji\, a Cannes-nominated director\, for a playful exp
loration of the “inner editor” — the part of us constantly deciding
what deserves attention\, what gets left out and what meaning we give to t
he scenes of our lives. We’ll explore how attention can work like a came
ra lens\, why our minds turn chaos into narratives\, and whether becoming
aware of this process gives us more freedom to shape it. Then you’ll ste
p into the editing room yourself. Through writing\, conversation and creat
ive exercises\, you’ll take an ordinary day from your own life and re-ed
it it as if it were a short film: Where would you cut? What would you ling
er on? Which seemingly unimportant moment becomes the key scene? What chan
ges if you tell the same day as a comedy\, a drama or a story of personal
triumph? No filmmaking or writing experience is needed — the activity is
about experimenting with perspective\, not creating a masterpiece. Expect
imagination\, surprising interpretations and a chance to discover just ho
w differently the same reality can be told. Because perhaps we’re not si
mply characters trapped inside our own stories... we’re also holding the
camera and sitting in the editing room.
