ff Your Brain's Autopilot & Make Conscious Choices </a>\nHow much of your
day do you consciously choose? And how much runs on autopilot? The answer
for most of us might surprise you! When you follow a familiar routine\, ch
ase a goal or react without thinking\, what’s driving you? Join Anton\,
a critical-thinking coach and cognitive trainer\, for an interactive discu
ssion about automatic habits\, deliberate choices and motivation. We’ll
explore what happens outside our conscious attention and ask whether the t
hings we pursue come from personal interest\, external rewards or a compli
cated mix of both. When is autopilot useful\, and when does it keep us rep
eating patterns we’d rather change? Through guided questions and convers
ation\, we’ll use a reflection framework to examine different layers of
our experience\, from our surroundings and behaviour to our abilities\, be
liefs and sense of identity. You’ll compare perspectives\, question fami
liar assumptions and consider how looking at a situation differently might
open up new choices. No knowledge of psychology is necessary\, and you ca
n share as much or as little personal detail as you like. Expect a thought
ful\, practical session that helps you notice what you usually overlook—
and become more intentional about what you do next.
