">How The Attention Economy Influences Your Brain - A Critical Thinking Wo
rkshop </a>\nWhat does your feed know about you? And how much of what you
like did it help you discover? How does a quick check of your phone turn i
nto twenty minutes of watching videos you never meant to watch? Join us fo
r an interactive workshop about the attention economy: how platforms compe
te for our time and how their design can shape what we notice\, enjoy and
compare ourselves to. We’ll explore why the possibility of seeing someth
ing good keeps us scrolling\, then see how many “attention traps” we c
an spot in a typical day in Shanghai. Some will be obvious\; others might
be habits you’ve never thought to question. Through playful critical thi
nking activities\, we’ll compare what pulls us in\, challenge each other
’s assumptions and ask which digital habits give us more than they take.
What’s worth making time for\, and what could we happily miss? Expect l
ively discussion\, funny moments of recognition and practical ideas for gi
ving more of your attention to the things you care about. No tech or psych
ology knowledge is needed\, just curiosity about where your time goes and
how you’d rather spend it.
